Arbor Hospice & Palliative Care Hires Director of Philanthropy, Philanthropy Manager and Operations Manager

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Feb. 2, 2017) – Arbor Hospice & Palliative Care is pleased to announce three new members to its Ann Arbor-based nonprofit hospice agency.
Judith Vindici has been hired as director of philanthropy for The Arbor Hospice Foundation. In this role, Vindici is responsible for board and donor relations, major gift solicitations, and overall management of Arbor Hospice’s philanthropic efforts. Vindici, a Birmingham, Michigan resident, gained more than 15 years of fundraising experience with various nonprofit organizations including Wayne State University, Starr Commonwealth and most recently with the American Red Cross. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University.
Paul Barker, of Ferndale, Michigan, is The Arbor Hospice Foundation’s philanthropy manager. Barker assists Vindici with fundraising activities including direct mail campaigns, special events and third party fundraisers. He has nearly 18 years of marketing and fundraising experience with prior positions at the American Red Cross, Judson Center, Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, the Roostertail, and the Motown Museum. Barker has a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Amy Murphy, BSN, RN, has been hired as operations manager for The Residence of Arbor Hospice. She is responsible for the day to day operations of the 13 bed unit. Murphy has more than seven years of management experience with prior positions at St. Joseph Mercy Health System and Pfizer. She is a resident of Tecumseh, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan and a Lean Healthcare Certification from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
