The Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Michigan (HPCAM) named Arbor Hospice President and CEO Gloria D. Brooks Chair of its Board of Directors during its recent annual conference.
“I am humbled to be nominated and selected by my peers to serve as Chair of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Michigan’s Board of Directors,” said Arbor Hospice President and CEO Gloria D. Brooks. “I’m looking forward to increasing the community’s knowledge about advance care directives and the many partnerships that HPCAM has with other organizations across the state to improve access to care. Education is essential to ensuring all people receive the end-of-life care they deserve.”
As Chair of the Board of Directors, Brooks will work closely with HPCAM CEO Lisa Ashley and the Board of Directors to advocate for hospice and palliative care providers throughout the state of Michigan as they offer quality services to families needing support at the end-of-life.
“Gloria D. Brooks is well-known in the hospice and palliative care community for her commitment, advocacy and education on behalf of the hospice and palliative care field,” said Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Michigan’s CEO Lisa Ashley. “We are very excited to have Gloria serve as Chair of our Board of Directors.”
Brooks began her two year term on May 1. She was nominated for the position by the HPCAM’s Executive Committee, a group of individuals elected by HPCAM’s Board of Directors.
