Support Arbor Hospice at Brewed Awakenings Cafe’s Eat, Drink & Pay It Forward Day on May 16

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (May 12, 2017) – Grab a cup of coffee, a scone and feel good about helping others during Eat, Drink & Pay it Forward Day from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at Brewed Awakenings Cafe, located at 7025 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline, Michigan. The coffee shop will donate 20 percent of food and beverage sales to the Arbor Hospice Foundation which supports programs such as pediatric hospice, grief support services, complementary therapies including pet, music and massage, and uncompensated care for low-income patients and their families.
Eat, Drink & Pay it Forward Day will feature several special guests throughout the afternoon for coffee-enthusiasts stopping in for their cup of Joe. Arbor volunteers will be on site between 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to welcome people and answer questions about hospice and palliative care, as well as provide information about the nonprofit hospice organization, including volunteer opportunities. Arbor’s volunteer pet therapy dogs, Alpine and Pilgrim, will interact with patrons between11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and the Mayor of Saline, Brian Marl, will host a meet and greet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Arbor music therapy volunteer and board member, Pat Jannausch, will provide musical entertainment as she plays the piano from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
