The Arbor Hospice Foundation seeks end-of-year contributions to benefit patients and families
Posted: December 12, 2016
ANN ARBOR (Dec. 12, 2016) – The Arbor Hospice Foundation is currently accepting end-of-the-year, tax-deductible donations to help support programs and services offered to Arbor patients and family members. A tax-deductible contribution will allow the nonprofit to continue providing programs and services such as complementary therapies, including music, massage and pet; pediatric hospice care; and grief support services as well as uncompensated care for low-income patients and their families.
Consider what a donation to The Arbor Hospice Foundation can provide:
· $100 – Two days of food for a patient at an in-patient facility
· $250 – Eight hours of grief support for a family
· $500 – Nine days of pain medication for a patient
· $1,000 – Six weeks of children’s grief support
· $2,500 – 13 days of in-home hospice care for an uninsured patient
· $5,000 – 10 days of routine care for a patient at The Residence of Arbor Hospice
A donation of $25 or more will be thanked with a Heart of Remembrance, a handstitched keepsake heart to honor a loved one or send as a special gift to a friend, relative or client. Each beautiful felt heart is handcrafted by Arbor volunteers and makes the perfect holiday ornament or year-‘round home décor.
“We rely greatly on the generous outpouring of community support that helps Arbor serve nearly 7,000 patients and family members annually,” said Gloria A. Brooks, president of The Arbor Hospice Foundation. “Donations received will help serve Arbor patients throughout Washtenaw County and surrounding communities.”
