of care is one of the cornerstones of our mission - a mission that could
not be accomplished without the many 'helping hands' of our volunteers.
Arbor Hospice has a dedicated volunteer force of over
300 caring individuals and we offer opportunities in just about every
area you can imagine. Whether you can give four hours a month or four
hours a day, we can use your help! Training Dates Ann Arbor Area Volunteer training will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 15, April 17, April 22, April 24 & April 29 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A second training is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, May 5, May 7, May 12, May 14, and May 19 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Both trainings will meet at The Residence of Arbor Hospice at 2366 Oak Valley Drive. To attend any trainings you must register and complete an application. Classes fill up quickly. Western Wayne County Volunteer training will be held in Northville on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon. It will run on June 3, 5, 10, 12, & 17. Training will meet at Arbor Hospice, 331 N. Center Street in Northville. To attend training, you must register and complete an application. Classes fill up quickly. Please call (248) 348-4980 or e-mail wwvolunteers@arborhospice.org to register. Downriver Volunteer training will be held in Trenton on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon. It will meet on May 6, 8, 13, 15 & 20. Training will be be held at Arbor Hospice, 19145 Allen Road, Suite 110 in Trenton. To attend training, you must register and complete an application. Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities Opportunities include assisting patients in The Residence of Arbor Hospice, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or patients' home environments. In addition to direct patient care, a wide array of volunteer opportunities is available, including office assistance, fundraising, public speaking, crafting, grief support and much more.
