Pet Therapy

Studies have shown the significant health benefits of using trained animals in patient care. Through a partnership with Rochester Hills-based Leader Dogs for the Blind, Arbor Hospice has acquired a Golden Retriever named Alpine. As part of the Arbor Hospice team, Alpine brings comfort and companionship to patients and their families in their own homes or in assisted living facilities in Arbor Hospice's seven-county service area. Alpine also provides assistance as part of Arbor Hospice's grief support programs.
