AUCTION DETAILS

    • Preview & early bidding opens September 1
    • Remote bidding available
    • Winners need not be present

Introducing a one-of-a-kind collector’s item: the Heisman Heroes Football, signed by 24 Heisman Trophy winners, including Michigan’s own Desmond Howard and the first trophy recipient in 1935, Jay Berwanger.

This extraordinary piece was donated by Whitney Prince in memory of his sister and in tribute to the compassionate care she received from Arbor Hospice. Rooted in the legacy of Willard B. Prince—decorated World War I veteran and the man who conceived of the idea for the Heisman Trophy—this football continues a proud family tradition of giving back.

All proceeds support specialized veteran care at Arbor Hospice as a part of our commitment to We Honor Veterans.

This one-of-a-kind football headlines the silent auction at Barley, BBQ & Beats on September 11, 5–9 PM at Revel Run in Chelsea. Additional auction packages include a Breitling Ocean Heritage Timepiece, Fuego F24C professional grill, premier Michigan bourbon & rye basket, concert tickets to Ann Arbor’s favorite music venues, and more!

A young man sits on a stoop. Superimposed: A gold medal on one side, dog tags on the other side.

Willard B. Prince (1888–1949) was a man of vision and service. During World War I, he served with distinction as a Sergeant Major and mapmaker in the U.S. Army’s 5th Division.
