Free grief support day camp begins Aug. 10
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (May 24, 2018) – Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan are accepting applications for Camp Good Grief. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2018 at YMCA Camp Ohiyesa, located at 7300 Hickory Ridge Road in Holly. The camp is open to any child dealing with grief, regardless of whether or not their loved one received care from Hospice of Michigan or Arbor Hospice. To register, visit www.hom.org/camp/. Camp Good Grief is a free, one-day camp for children ages 8-17 who have lost a loved one. Led by grief professionals, trained volunteers and Camp Ohiyesa staff, campers will enjoy fun and adventurous activities including a team-based obstacle course, arts and crafts, canoeing, zip lining, music, pet therapy and more. The camp gives children the opportunity to address their feelings of loss, remember their loved ones and create friendships that last long after camp is over.
Lunch and a snack are included with registration.
