Newly-created position reflects need to expand support for growing patient base
Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan (HOM) are pleased to announce Stephanie Maurice as annual fund manager, a position created to keep pace with the expanding donor base required to meet the needs of a growing number of patients as the Baby Boomer generation ages. Annual giving is vital to Arbor and HOM’s ability to fulfill its nonprofit mission of serving all who need care regardless of their diagnosis, age or ability to pay.
Maurice will support all aspects of the Annual Fund, including strategic planning and budget, overseeing direct mail, memorial giving, online giving, donor communications and special events and projects related to donors and Foundation members. Maurice will work closely with Leslie Kota, director of philanthropy, as well as the statewide Foundation team, communications, Foundation board members, donors and volunteers.
Previously, Maurice was director of fund development and marketing for Mariners Inn, a shelter and treatment center for the homeless in Detroit. She also held positions with AgeOptions in Oak Park, IL and Gads Hill Center in Chicago. She earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies – Music, Social Work and Psychology from Rochester College. Maurice currently resides in Dearborn.
